Where landscapes become contested, negotiated and imagined anew.
Landscapes are never neutral. They carry histories, desires, conflicts and traces of human and more-than-human life.
Frictions on Landscapes is a multidisciplinary project comprising an exhibition, a symposium and experimental labs, bringing together artists, researchers and local actors to explore how landscapes are shaped, experienced and transformed.
Initiated, conceived and led by Barbara Wimmer-Bulin, the project creates spaces for exchange between artistic practice, scientific research and local knowledge. Through these different formats, it invites new perspectives on the frictions that shape our landscapes — and on possible ways of relating to them.
